Bronx Man Sought for Home Depot Credit Card Scam
A man from the Bronx is being sought by Stafford Township police in connection to a credit card fraud case at Home Depot. The investigation, which concluded on July 31, identified Joseph Diaz-Herra, 20, of Carroll Place in New York City, as the suspect.
The case began after someone used a victim's credit card information at the store, buying $973 worth of flooring products. Police reported that the card details were manually entered to make the purchases. As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Diaz-Herra.
The charges against him include knowingly exhibiting a false government-issued driver's license or other identification, intent to commit credit card fraud, and theft by deception. Anyone with information on Diaz-Herra's whereabouts is asked to contact the Stafford Township Police Department Detective Bureau.
