Buc-ee's Breaks with Tradition: No More Coke in Some Fountains
A TikTok user named Kylee Francescon recently visited a Buc-ee's location in Smiths Grove, Kentucky, and was surprised to find that they no longer carried Coca-Cola products at their soda fountains. According to Francescon, the store had previously had an exclusive supply arrangement with Coca-Cola since 1997, but this location seemed to have made a change.
Francescon posted about her experience on TikTok, pointing out that the fountain drink stations still had Buc-ee's brand options available, including cola and root beer. However, when she asked an employee if they had Diet Coke, she was told that they did not carry it in the fountains.
Francescon tried the store-brand 'Buc-ee's Diet' soda instead, but described it as tasting like weak, flat Diet Pepsi. She noted that some Buc-ee's locations still carried Coca-Cola products, including a location she visited in Alabama and one her family recently attended in Arizona.
The absence of Coca-Cola products at the Kentucky location has sparked debate among commenters on Francescon's video, with some users speculating about possible reasons behind the change. Some suggested that Dr Pepper might have offered a better deal to Buc-ee's, while others pointed out that name-brand Coke and Pepsi could still be purchased in the store's cooler.
