Buffett's Apple Stake Grows to 22% of Berkshire Portfolio
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has a significant stake in Apple, making it the company's largest holding. The conglomerate first invested in Apple in 2016 and increased its stake over time.
The investment of around $35 billion made between 2016 and 2018 surged to approximately $185 billion before tax, including dividends and gains, according to Buffett.
Buffett has expressed his admiration for Apple's financials, stating that outgoing CEO Tim Cook made more money for Berkshire Hathaway's shareholders than he ever did as CEO of the iPhone-maker.
However, Buffett also revealed that he sold a significant portion of Berkshire's Apple holding, although it still remains the company's largest position.
