Burry Amplifies Bearish Stance on Nvidia and Micron Stocks
Investor Michael Burry has increased his bearish exposure to artificial intelligence and semiconductor stocks in his latest portfolio update.
Burry, known for his successful bets against subprime mortgage lenders during the 2008 financial crisis, added to his Nvidia NVDA put options, increasing his short position in Micron Technology MU. He also expanded his bearish position in the iShares Semiconductor ETF and added QQQ put options.
In a notable move, Burry described his purchases as additions rather than sales, buying more shares of DraftKings DKNG at $23.40, Zoetis near $76, and Lululemon Athletica LULU around $118. He highlighted the latter two as full positions and pointed to their declines from previous highs.
Burry's bearish trades also include adding Nvidia puts expiring Dec. 18, 2026, with strikes in the low $100s, increasing his Micron short position around $880, and adding to his SOXX short near $506.
