Burry Shifts Focus from Chip Weakness to Broader Nasdaq Decline
Michael Burry has updated his Substack holdings, revealing significant changes to his long and short positions. Among his top longs, he now holds around 8% of Adobe ($ADBE), MercadoLibre ($MELI), Zoetis ($ZTS), and JD ($JD). He also has 7% stakes in Lululemon ($LULU), PayPal ($PYPL), Veeva ($VEEV), Flutter ($FLUT), Molina Healthcare ($MOH), HCA Healthcare ($HCA), Fannie Mae ($FNMA), Freddie Mac ($FMCC), and Sprouts ($SFM).
On the short side, Burry has targeted iShares Semiconductor ETF ($SOXX) and various individual stocks such as Micron ($MU), Nvidia ($NVDA), Oracle ($ORCL), Palantir ($PLTR), Caterpillar ($CAT), and a put option on Invesco QQQ Trust ($QQQ). His short position in Tesla ($TSLA) has been fully exited for gains, and he has replaced it with a larger position in the QQQ.
The cash allocation in his portfolio now stands at 12%, up from an earlier bet that focused on chip-specific weakness. This shift indicates a broader decline in Nasdaq tech stocks is expected.
