Burry Sounds Alarm on Market Valuations: Price Will Matter Again
Michael Burry has renewed his criticism of current U.S. market valuations, warning investors that they are placing too little weight on price and fundamentals.
Burry, known for his bearish market calls, pointed to several technology and industrial names as among his concerns, including Micron Technology (MU), Nvidia (NVDA), Caterpillar (CAT), Palantir Technologies (PLTR) and Tesla (TSLA).
His comments followed a sharp move in Palantir, which gained nearly 37% during the week after delivering better-than-expected second-quarter results.
Burry compared the current environment to the period before the dot-com downturn, when investors largely ignored valuation concerns. He argued that markets eventually returned to a point where price mattered, leaving some investors exposed when sentiment reversed.
