Burt Reynolds' Love Life Left a Trail of Drama
Hollywood heartthrob Burt Reynolds had a storied love life marked by several high-profile relationships. He was married twice, first to Judy Carne from 1963 to 1965, and then to Loni Anderson in 1988, with whom he shared an adopted son.
Reynolds' most notable romance was with actress Sally Field, with whom he co-starred in four films between 1976 and 1982. He later called her the 'love of his life,' but she recalled things differently, stating that Reynolds had exaggerated their involvement with each other.
Despite his regret over not fighting for Field, Reynolds married Anderson and they had a contentious divorce process that lasted until 2015. In an interview, he described marrying Anderson as a 'really dumb move' and recalled her extravagant spending habits, which included maxing out a $45,000 credit limit on his American Express card in just half an hour.
