Burundi First Lady Honored with Prestigious United Nations Population Award
The United Nations Population Award in the institutional category has been awarded to Fondation Bonne Action Umugiraneza, which is chaired by Burundi's First Lady H.E. Madam ANGELINE NDAYISHIMIYE.
The award recognizes the foundation's outstanding contribution to improving health, education, and well-being in Burundi.
Senator Dr. Rasha Kelej, CEO of Merck Foundation and President of Merck Foundation First Ladies Initiative (MFFLI), congratulated H.E. Madam ANGELINE NDAYISHIMIYE on the prestigious recognition.
'This recognition is very well deserved and reflects the commitment and important work of the foundation to improve the health and well-being of the people of Burundi,' Dr. Kelej said.
