Bush Leaves Door Open for Kingdom Hearts Animated Movie

At D23, Disney Animation Studios' chief creative officer Jared Bush refused to rule out the possibility of a Kingdom Hearts feature film. When asked by IGN's Jeffrey Vega if there would ever be a Kingdom Hearts movie, Bush replied, 'Technically, you're not wrong.' He continued, 'I'd say I'm always excited to hear what people are passionate about. And I'd say that we have a very bright future of new projects coming out, different ways of putting material out into the world. So I would just say, nothing is impossible.'

Bush's response was cautious but left room for interpretation, especially given the recent announcements surrounding Kingdom Hearts IV and an animated series on Disney+. The franchise has reportedly generated over $1 billion in revenue for Disney.

The latest trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV showcased impressive graphics and story beats, including a realistic city inspired by modern-day Tokyo.
