Bybit Brings Perp Options to SpaceX and Nvidia
Bybit is introducing Perp Options on its platform, allowing users to trade options on the perpetual futures contracts of SpaceX (SPCX) and Nvidia (NVDA). The launch takes place on September 17 at 8 pm UTC. Bybit's Perp Options will offer weekend and overnight trading with fractional lots, USDT settlement, and portfolio margin available to all users within the exchange's Unified Trading Account.
The underlying of these options is not the actual shares of SpaceX or Nvidia, but rather Bybit's own perpetual futures contracts - SPCXUSDT and NVDAUSDT. This means that option buyers are taking a position in a synthetic instrument that mirrors the stock price without any path to the underlying equity.
The exchange has already listed options on both stocks on regulated US markets, but Bybit's version offers additional features such as weekend trading and fractional sizing. The launch is part of a broader push by Bybit into single-name and ETF-linked perpetuals, with contracts tracking consumer-staples and utilities ETFs, McDonald's, and Shein also recently listed.
