C2C Power Solutions, a division of California-based Caterpillar dealer Hawthorne Machinery Co., has broken ground on a new facility in Decatur, Texas. The 24,000-square-foot building will serve as a centralized testing, service, and sales location for power generation equipment.

The company plans to expand its footprint across the country, with primary customers including data centers, hospitals, and large-scale power users where reliable power is critical. C2C's history dates back to Crestchic USA, which became the North American distributor for UK-based load bank manufacturer Crestchic in 2001.

The Decatur location will rent, test, service, and sell power generation equipment, with a focus on expanding the company's presence in the Midwest and along the East Coast. Hawthorne Cat CFO Brian Verhoeven said at Friday's groundbreaking ceremony that C2C is 'excited to bring this facility to Decatur' and create jobs for the local economy.
