California State Teachers Retirement System dramatically increased its stake in 3M Company (NYSE:MMM) by purchasing an additional 129,208,611 shares during the second quarter.

The fund now owns approximately 25.21% of 3M's outstanding stock, worth around $21 billion at the end of the most recent reporting period.

Meanwhile, other hedge funds have also made changes to their positions in 3M. Ameritas Advisory Services LLC increased its stake by 163.1%, while Wedmont Private Capital raised its holding by 18.5% during the second quarter.
