California State Teachers Sell $6 Billion Worth of NVIDIA Shares

The California State Teachers Retirement System has reduced its position in NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) by selling 881,237 shares in the first quarter. This represents a 2.3% decrease in their holdings.

NVIDIA comprises approximately 6.8% of the retirement system's holdings, making it their biggest holding. They owned 36,688,762 shares after the sale, and the stock is worth $6,398,520,000.

This change follows other institutional investors who have recently bought and sold NVIDIA shares. State Street Corp boosted its stake in NVIDIA by 1.2% in the fourth quarter, while Geode Capital Management LLC increased its stake by 0.6%. Norges Bank acquired a new stake in the company during the same period.

NVIDIA has reported strong earnings, with $81.61 billion in revenue for the quarter and a net margin of 62.97%. Analysts predict that NVIDIA will post $8.79 earnings per share for the current fiscal year.
