CALL ME AL Joins Reverie Content Roster
Reverie Content has announced that directing duo CALL ME AL is joining their roster of directorial talent. The husband-and-wife team, Phillip Montgomery and Alisa Allapach, have a decade-long history together, meeting on the set of a commercial spot in 2013. Their partnership solidified while working on Instagram film 'The Things We Miss' during the pandemic.
CALL ME AL's name comes from Alisa's father, Al Allapach, who would grab tugboats crossing Bangkok's Chao Phraya River as a young boy to get across the city faster - an act of resourcefulness that the duo aims to channel on set. They have worked with notable brands including Kia, Google, Uber, IBM, and The Home Depot.
Phillip Montgomery, half of CALL ME AL, is a seasoned director who has earned awards for his commercial work, including a YDA and multiple Cannes Silver and Bronze Lions. His feature documentary debut '#ReGENERATION' premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival. Alisa Allapach's background as a professional figure skater and Hollywood actress sharpens her instincts as a director working with actors.
The duo shares that they're 'entering this next phase as collaborators, knowing there is always room to grow.' They believe in making things they're proud of and are excited to work with Reverie's strategy and ethos. Rich Pring, co-founder and EP at Reverie Content, adds that CALL ME AL has an innate ability to elevate stories through camera movement, design, performance, or emotion.
