CalPERS Boosts Stake in Apple Following Strong Earnings Report
The California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) has increased its stake in Apple Inc. (AAPL) by 3.7% in the first quarter, according to a recent disclosure with the Securities & Exchange Commission.
CalPERS bought an additional 1,338,411 shares during the quarter, bringing its total holdings in AAPL to 37,713,677 shares.
This represents about 5.9% of CalPERS' investment portfolio and makes AAPL its third-largest holding.
