CalSTRS Doubles Down on Travelers Companies with Massive Stake Increase

The California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) significantly increased its holdings in The Travelers Companies, Inc. (TRV), one of the leading insurance providers in the US.

In a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), CalSTRS revealed that it had lifted its TRV shares by 32,139.3% during the second quarter, adding an impressive 110,347,546 new shares to its portfolio.

This substantial increase brought the total number of TRV shares owned by CalSTRS to 110,690,887, accounting for approximately 53.07% of the company's outstanding stock and representing a market value of $36,541,276,000 as of the most recent filing date.
