Campus Switch Market Sees Unprecedented Growth in 2Q 2026 Amid Component Shortages

The campus switch market has seen significant growth in 2Q 2026, driven by skyrocketing market prices. According to Dell'Oro Group, a trusted source for market information, component shortages have affected both campus switch availability and prices, leading to a 19 percent increase in the average selling price (ASP) of campus switches.

Siân Morgan, Senior Director at Dell'Oro Group, noted that every vendor outside China grew campus switch ASP on a year-over-year basis. This is a direct consequence of AI-fueled component shortages driving up component costs and resulting in list price increases of nearly all campus switches.

Cisco, Arista, Ubiquiti, and Extreme all gained share on a year-over-year basis, as vendors that excel at managing supply, redesigning equipment, and finding the sweet spot of price increases will be able to outgrow the market. Memory shortages are expected to shape the market well into 2027, with ASPs rising and causing campus switch availability issues.
