Can Apple Make Me Switch to a Foldable iPhone?
An Android enthusiast has been testing various smartphone brands for over a decade and a half. They currently use a Pixel 11 Pro, but are considering switching to an iPhone Ultra if it meets their expectations.
The writer is particularly interested in Apple's rumored foldable phone and believes that the company can bring its own spin to the category while addressing some of the biggest problems with current foldables.
One major issue with foldables is the visible crease on the inner display, which the writer hopes Apple will solve by using dual ultra-thin glass that sandwiches the OLED panel between two flexible layers.
They also want to see proper multitasking capabilities, such as free-form windowing and floating windows, similar to those found in iPadOS.
The writer is concerned about camera hardware on foldables, which often compromise on quality due to size constraints. They hope Apple will maintain its flagship camera setup for the iPhone Ultra.
Additionally, they would like to see Apple Pencil support, allowing users to draw or take notes on the unfolded display.
The writer also mentions that an anti-reflective inner display could be a game-changer, making it easier to view content in bright environments.
