Canada Updates Temporary Resident Visa Processing Times for Indian Applicants
Canada's Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has updated its temporary resident visa processing times for applicants from India. According to the latest update on August 19, visitor visa wait times have increased by one day to thirty-one days.
The IRCC states that these figures are estimates and actual processing times may vary depending on factors such as application complexity, the number of applications in the queue, available resources, and requests for additional documents.
For Indians, work permit applications continue to take an estimated nine weeks (63-70 days), while study permits remain at five weeks (35-40 days). In contrast, India's Super Visa processing time remains significantly faster than other countries, at 56 days.
The IRCC processed over 1.57 million temporary residence applications in the first six months of this year and expects to release its next update on August 26.
