Canadian Astronaut Flies on Someone Else's Spacecraft After Boeing Mission Delayed
Astronaut Joshua Kutryk was assigned to Boeing's Starliner-1 mission in November 2023, but it never carried a crew due to thruster problems.
The mission was converted to cargo-only in November 2025, giving Boeing more time to work on the propulsion system before committing astronauts again.
Kutryk is now heading to the International Space Station anyway, on SpaceX's Crew-13 mission, which will launch no earlier than mid September 2026 from Cape Canaveral.
