Canandaigua National Bank & Trust Co., an investment institution, has purchased a new stake in The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO). According to its most recent filing with the SEC, the bank bought approximately 89,582 shares of the company's stock for $7.28 million in the second quarter.

This is not an isolated instance, as several other institutional investors and hedge funds have also made changes to their positions in The Coca-Cola Company. Louisbourg Investments Inc., for example, bought a new position in shares of KO worth about $25,000 in the first quarter.

The Coca-Cola Company's stock price has been performing well this year, with its fifty-day moving average at $82.26 and its 200-day moving average at $78.99. The company has a market capitalization of $372.03 billion and a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.97.
