Cantor Fitzgerald Reiterates Overweight Rating on UnitedHealth
Cantor Fitzgerald has reiterated its Overweight rating and $495 price target for UnitedHealth Group, suggesting a potential upside of approximately 27% based on current market conditions.
The firm's analysis of the Stars cutpoints for 2027 found that only 47% of 4-Star thresholds became more difficult compared to the previous year. This, combined with UnitedHealth's accelerated investments in its Stars program, has led Cantor Fitzgerald to believe that the company's efforts will be sufficient.
The firm also downplayed concerns related to CAHPS (the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems), stating that these concerns are 'misplaced'. Furthermore, the lighter-than-expected movement in cutpoints has allowed UnitedHealth to maintain its target margins through 2027.
