Cantor Fitzgerald Sticks to UnitedHealth Stock Rating Amid Optimistic Outlook
Cantor Fitzgerald has reaffirmed its Overweight rating for UnitedHealth Group's stock, setting a price target of $495.00. This implies a potential upside of approximately 27% from the current trading price of $388.28.
The firm based its analysis on the upcoming release of 2027 Stars ratings, which it believes will have only a minor impact on UnitedHealth's stock performance. The analysts found that only 47% of 4-Star thresholds became more difficult in 2027 Stars compared to 2026 Stars.
Cantor Fitzgerald also expressed confidence in UnitedHealth's accelerated Stars program investments, stating they are likely sufficient given the lighter-than-expected movement in cutpoints. This represents another reason to support the company's Medicare Advantage margin and pricing cycle through to target margins, according to the firm.
