Cape Province Schools Get AI and Cybersecurity Boost
The Northern Cape Department of Education in South Africa has partnered with the Hanley Group and Cisco Networking Academy to provide digital skills training to students across 235 schools in the province.
Scheduled to begin in February 2027, this initiative aims to prepare students for a job market driven by automation and connected technologies.
The programme targets key priority gaps, including foundational digital literacy and essential skills required for emerging technologies such as AI and cybersecurity.
