Cardinal Capital Management Inc. (CCM) has acquired a new position in Visa Inc. (NYSE:V), valued at approximately $40,589,000. The investment firm purchased 118,305 shares during the second quarter, according to its latest disclosure with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
This is not an isolated case; other institutional investors have also increased their stakes in Visa. Tema ETFs LLC, for instance, boosted its position by 5.3% during the same period, now owning 36,045 shares valued at $12,367,000. Haven Capital Group Inc. and Dagco Inc. also raised their holdings in Visa by 5.8% and 5.7%, respectively.
Visa's stock has been on an upward trend, with a market capitalization of $646.46 billion. The company's fifty-day moving average price is $346.77, while its two-hundred day moving average price stands at $327.53. Despite the strong earnings and revenue growth, Visa's stock initially underperformed Mastercard after releasing its quarterly results.
Analysts have been upbeat about Visa's prospects, with Zacks Research increasing its estimates for fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2028. Erste Group also lifted its forecasts and maintained a Buy rating on the company. However, some experts caution that expectations for Visa are elevated, which may limit the immediate benefit of another earnings beat.
