Carteret Resident Lynda Muraco Passes Away at 83

Lynda Muraco, affectionately known as 'Nanny', passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Born in Bethlehem, PA, she spent most of her life in Carteret, NJ.

Muraco was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Church and had a long career at Merck in Rahway, where she retired after many years of service.

The family will hold a Memorial Service for Lynda on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret. Her love for music and cooking is remembered by her loved ones.
