Cat Simulators Unveil New Utility Training Package
A new training package called Cat Simulators Next Gen Excavator Utilities has been announced by Simformotion LLC, aiming to prepare heavy equipment operators for underground utility excavation tasks. The package is designed to provide realistic scenarios of exposing underground water, gas, and electrical service lines for inspection, repair, and extension.
The training system features authentic Cat machine controls, exclusive walkaround machine inspection training, and a built-in reporting software that records and reports learners' simulation sessions. This helps trainees compare their performance to Caterpillar's benchmarks.
The package includes four new utility-focused scenarios: Underground Water Utilities, Expose Damaged Water Service, Underground Water Utilities, Extend Service, Underground Gas Utilities, Expose for Servicing, and Underground Electric Utilities, Expose for Servicing. These exercises are designed to help operators practice tasks efficiently and safely.
The Cat Simulators system can be converted between models using the same base unit and conversion kits, enabling cross-training on multiple machines while saving space. The portability of the simulators allows easy movement between locations, providing a cost-effective solution for training programs.
