Caterpillar Crushes Earnings Expectations with Record Revenue
Caterpillar, the heavy machinery manufacturer, reported its second-quarter earnings on Tuesday, beating analyst expectations and reaching a record $20.5 billion in revenue.
The company's Construction Industries segment drove growth, with sales increasing by 35% to $8.3 billion, while the Power & Energy segment saw a 17% rise in revenue to $8.2 billion.
Caterpillar attributed its success in part to strong demand from data centers, which contributed to a 29% increase in power generation sales within the Power & Energy segment.
