Caterpillar Crushes Q2 Earnings Expectations with Strong Revenue Growth
Caterpillar Inc., the construction equipment company based in Irving, Texas, reported its second-quarter earnings on Tuesday. The results exceeded Wall Street expectations, with net income per share coming to $7.77 and adjusted for restructuring costs at $8.17.
The company's revenue reached $20.54 billion in the period, also beating forecasts. According to Zacks Investment Research, six analysts had predicted a revenue of $19.31 billion, while the average estimate was for earnings of $6.25 per share.
