Caterpillar Invests Heavily in Arkansas Workforce
Caterpillar has expanded its workforce initiative to Arkansas, marking another step in its five-year, $100 million Building the Future Workforce Initiative. The company has allocated up to $3 million for this effort, aiming to prepare Arkansas workers for jobs in modern manufacturing and industry technician roles.
Christy Pambianchi, Caterpillar's chief human resources officer, stated that 'every community has the talent to build a strong manufacturing workforce.' She added that 'investments like this can help create more opportunities for that talent to grow and succeed.'
The initiative will focus on building training pathways and programs in partnership with local institutions, employers, and community organizations. This includes expanding hands-on manufacturing pathways for students, increasing technical training capacity across the region, and deepening employer engagement.
