Caterpillar Logo to Appear on Illinois Football Field as Part of Multi-Year Sponsorship

The University of Illinois Athletics announced a new sponsorship deal with Caterpillar Inc. The company will have its logo displayed on Zuppke Field, marking the first-ever long-term on-field corporate logo in Gies Memorial Stadium's history.

Caterpillar is the global leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives. The company has had an impact in Illinois for over 100 years and currently employs more than 17,000 people in the state.

The multi-year agreement was facilitated by Learfield, a leading collegiate licensing and sponsorship management company. The specifics of the partnership have not yet been made public, but it comes on the heels of another major sponsorship deal announced last month - a five-year, $30 million jersey patch partnership with Busey Bank.
