Caterpillar Sees Record Sales on AI-Driven Demand
Caterpillar has reported its strongest quarterly sales yet, reaching $20.5 billion in Q2 2026, a significant 24% increase from the previous year.
The company's power and energy segment saw a 17% surge in sales, while construction industries rose by 35%, and resources industries increased by 20%.
This growth is largely attributed to strong demand for power-generation equipment linked to artificial intelligence infrastructure projects. The company's order backlog has also seen an impressive 92% increase, reaching $72 billion.
