Caterpillar Signs Multi-Year Sponsorship Deal with University of Illinois Athletics

Caterpillar Inc. has entered into a multi-year sponsorship deal with the University of Illinois athletics department, as announced in a press release by the university. The agreement, facilitated by Learfield, will feature Caterpillar logos at the 25-yard lines of Zuppke Field at Gies Memorial Stadium.

The deal is significant for the university, which has seen its roster costs skyrocket in recent years due to the pay-for-play era of college athletics. This corporate sponsorship will help Illinois compete with other Big Ten schools and provide much-needed revenue for the program.
