Caterpillar Unveils Electric D11 XE Dozer for Enhanced Efficiency
Caterpillar has unveiled its new D11 XE electric drive dozer, designed to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs for customers.
The machine's electric drivetrain features 60% fewer moving parts than a mechanical system, simplifying service and lowering owning and operating costs. The Cat C32B engine operates at a lower high-idle speed, enabling the D11 XE to deliver up to 20% longer life between rebuilds.
According to Luke Fischer, product application specialist for Caterpillar, 'The D11 XE is designed to help customers get more from every hour of operation.' The machine's electric drive system eliminates the need for gear shifting, providing smooth maneuverability and increased productivity.
