Caterpillar's Uptrend Continues with Record Revenues

Instruments
CAT
Share

Caterpillar Inc., trading as CAT, has experienced significant volume-driven growth in recent quarters. The company's sales and revenues reached a record $20.5 billion in the second quarter of 2026, with volume increases contributing 19.9% to revenue growth.

This marks a notable turnaround from last year, when Caterpillar reported six consecutive quarters of declines. However, the current uptrend is broad-based across its key end markets, including Power & Energy and Construction Industries.

The Construction Industries segment has been the largest contributor to volume growth in the first half, generating a $3.2 billion increase due to higher equipment sales to end users and favorable changes in dealer inventories.
