CCEP Partners with Coles for Fourth Year to Combat Food Insecurity
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) is partnering with Coles for the fourth consecutive year to support Australians facing food insecurity. The partnership, which began in 2022, has raised $519,263 for SecondBite, providing the equivalent of 2.6 million meals to those in need.
This year's appeal will bring together SecondBite and Foodbank, creating a greater opportunity for customers and suppliers to support Australians experiencing food hardship. CCEP will donate 20 cents from every Mount Franklin product sold at Coles from August 5 to September 1, up to $250,000.
New research has revealed an estimated 3.6 million Australians have experienced food hardship for the first time in the past six months. Almost one in three (32%) said they would be too embarrassed to ask for assistance, while nearly half of respondents said they would not seek help because someone else needs it more.
Tobias Hoogewerff, Vice President of At Home Sales, Australia at CCEP, commented: 'We're proud to be partnering with Coles on this appeal. Since 2022, together we've helped raise more than $500,000 for SecondBite by turning everyday purchases into meaningful support.'
