CCEP Rolls Out Electric Trucks Across APAC
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners is introducing electric trucks to its delivery operations across Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines. The move aims to reduce carbon emissions and create a more sustainable beverage distribution network in the region.
In Papua New Guinea, CCEP has partnered with local logistics provider Express Freight Management to introduce five new electric vehicles supporting operations in Lae and Port Moresby. These trucks have a significant role in decarbonizing logistics in the Pacific.
Australia is also seeing a fleet of 12 all-electric rigid trucks brought into operation across key national distribution routes. CCEP is working with logistics partner Toll Group to introduce these vehicles, which can travel up to 270 kilometres on a single charge and reduce an estimated 283 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
The Philippines has also introduced its first-ever electric truck to the national fleet. Stationed at CCEP's Santa Rosa bottling site in Laguna, this zero-emissions vehicle is expected to reduce carbon emissions by another 54 tonnes annually.
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners emphasizes that these initiatives are part of wider efforts to develop a more sustainable local supply chain in the Philippines and across the region. This includes investments in solar panels and energy-saving measures across production lines, which further support the company's sustainability goals.
