CCPB Empowers Women Across Every Part of Its Business
Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages (CCPB) is celebrating Women's Month by highlighting its progress in promoting women's roles within the company. Over the past four decades, CCPB has seen a significant shift from manual production work to technical, operational, and senior leadership positions.
In 1985, when Bryn Morse joined CCPB as Culture and People Development Director, women primarily worked in manual roles on manufacturing lines. However, with training and development opportunities, women have steadily moved into professional, technical, and operational positions across the business.
One notable change is in traditionally male-dominated fields such as forklift operation and truck driving. Larochelle Bezuidenhout joined CCPB in 2005 as a seasonal truck driver before becoming the company's first permanent female driver in 2012. Yonela Mayongo, a refrigeration technician, also credits her career success to opportunities provided by CCPB.
The goal of CCPB is to continue creating pathways for women across every part of the business, with Bryn Morse emphasizing that 'the real measure of success isn't how many women we have today, it's whether the next generation sees these careers as possibilities from the start.'
