Centaurus Financial Acquires Stake in IBM Amid Surge in Institutional Demand
Centaurus Financial Inc., an experienced financial institution, recently acquired 4,005 shares of International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) stock in the second quarter. This move was disclosed to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The value of these shares is approximately $1.126 million. Notably, this is not Centaurus Financial's first investment in IBM; several other hedge funds have also increased their stakes in the company recently.
Brighton Jones LLC, for instance, raised its position by 12.4% in the fourth quarter, while Sivia Capital Partners LLC boosted its stake by 10.6%. Additionally, Ieq Capital LLC grew its holdings by 2.2%, and Vivaldi Capital Management LP increased its investment by 11.6%.
This surge in institutional demand has led to a significant increase in IBM's stock price, with shares trading up 3.5% at $240.12 on Thursday. Despite this growth, some analysts have expressed caution, citing Arista Networks' stronger performance and rising estimates as a challenge for IBM.
