Certified Financial Planner Derek Rearden Passes Away in New Jersey
Derek Rearden, an 84-year-old certified financial planner (CFP) from Ocean City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2026. He was surrounded by his family and had been married to his wife Elaine for more than 60 years.
Rearden worked as a CFP with Ameriprise Financial in Voorhees, New Jersey, where he collaborated with his sons and son-in-law. During his career, he spent 25 years with Procter & Gamble before joining Ameriprise.
The family invites relatives and friends to attend Rearden's visitation at St. Frances Cabrini Church of St. Damien Parish on September 4, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow the visitation, and a local celebration is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
