Charter CFO Heads to Google-Blackstone Data Center Venture
Charter Communications' Chief Financial Officer Jessica Fischer will leave the company on October 15, 2026, to join a joint venture between Google and Blackstone focused on developing efficient data center capacity.
Fischer has been with Charter for nearly a decade and will be replaced by Kevin Howard, who currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer and Controller. Charter is starting a search for Fischer's permanent replacement immediately.
The joint venture between Google and Blackstone aims to bring the first 500 megawatts of capacity online in 2027, using custom chips from Google designed to accelerate AI workloads, known as Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). Google will supply a mix of TPUs and software and services.
