ChatGPT Integrates Deeply with Google Drive for Paid Subscribers
ChatGPT has expanded its integration with Google Drive, allowing users to add files to their library and edit documents directly within the chat. This feature is available to paid ChatGPT subscribers.
The integration allows users to tap a + button in the prompt field and select 'Add from Library' to access their Google Drive files. They can then open and edit these files without leaving the chat, or choose to open them in the corresponding Google app.
According to Adam Fry, ChatGPT's Consumer Product Lead, edits made within the chat will be saved directly to the original file on Google Drive, rather than creating a static copy. This feature is part of a larger update that includes other new tools and integrations, such as a quiz generator and integration with Yelp for restaurant reservations.
