ChatGPT Taps Google Drive for Live File Editing
ChatGPT has expanded its integration with Google Drive for paid subscribers. Users can now add files from their Google Drive account directly into their ChatGPT Library and edit them without leaving the chat window.
The process is straightforward: users tap the plus button on the left-hand side, select 'Add from Library,' and then choose a file to bring in. Once attached, ChatGPT can open and edit the file directly inside the conversation.
Fry confirmed that changes made through ChatGPT are saved back to the original file stored in Google Drive, rather than creating a static copy. This means users can switch between editing in ChatGPT or using the native Google app if they prefer.
