Chevron and Halliburton Eye Multi-Billion Dollar Deals in Venezuela
The US energy companies Chevron and Halliburton are reportedly moving closer to deals that could bring billions of dollars in investment into Venezuela's oil fields.
Chevron, which is already operating three joint ventures with PdVSA, the state-owned oil company, may add two heavy-oil fields to its existing Venezuelan portfolio under a potential agreement.
Halliburton, one of the largest US oil-field-services companies, is in talks to supply equipment and services to Venezuelan oil producers.
