Chevron Bangladesh Appoints Shu Xiong as President and Managing Director
Shu Xiong has been appointed as the president and managing director of Chevron Bangladesh, effective August 1, 2026. She succeeds Eric M Walker, who served in the role for six years.
Xiong joins Chevron from her position as managing director of Chevron's China Business Unit, where she led the company's upstream business and energy value-chain activities. During her tenure at Chevron, which began in 2007, Xiong held various senior leadership roles, advising executives, supporting investment decisions, and developing commercial opportunities.
In a press release, Xiong expressed her enthusiasm for joining the Bangladesh team and stated that she is committed to deepening Chevron's partnership with the Government of Bangladesh and Petrobangla. She also mentioned her family's excitement about making Bangladesh their home.
