Chevron Bangladesh Names Shu Xiong as New President

Shu Xiong has been appointed as the new president and managing director of Chevron Bangladesh, effective from August 1st, 2026. She takes over from Eric M Walker, who held the position for six years.

Xiong brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having worked in senior leadership positions within Chevron since 2007. Before joining Chevron Bangladesh, she served as managing director of the company's China Business Unit, where she was responsible for overseeing the upstream business and energy value chain activities.

Xiong holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Houston. In her new role, she expressed her commitment to deepening Chevron's partnership with the Government of Bangladesh and Petrobangla, as well as supporting local communities through education, health, and economic development programs.
