Chevron Boss Warns on Emerging Pattern of Environmental Lawfare

Chevron Australia president Balaji Krishnamurthy has sounded alarm bells over an emerging pattern of environmental lawfare that he believes is undermining the nation's regulatory system and jeopardising energy projects.

According to Krishnamurthy, this trend is critical to international trade relations. He made these comments while Chevron faced off against Indigenous traditional owners in the Federal Court over the future of its Gorgon project off the West Australian coast.
