Chevron, CF Industries, and Methanex Donate to Clear Backpack Initiative

The Ascension Parish School Board has received donations from three business partners to help provide clear backpacks for students in need. Chevron donated $15,000, CF Industries contributed $4,300, and Methanex gave $1,500. These donations allowed the school district to have a supply of clear backpacks available for students who may not have been able to afford them otherwise.

The Board specifically recognized these three companies for their generosity and for responding directly to the district's call for assistance. While other companies also contributed to this initiative, Chevron, CF Industries, and Methanex made significant investments that helped successfully implement it.
