Chevron Corp's Dual-Focused Business Model Drives Oil and Gas Production
Chevron Corp, the US-based oil and gas energy solutions provider, operates through two main segments: Upstream and Downstream.
The Upstream segment focuses on crude oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production, as well as associated liquefaction, transportation, and regasification activities.
On the other hand, the Downstream segment consists of refining crude oil into petroleum products, marketing crude oil and refined products, transporting them by pipeline, marine vessel, motor equipment, and rail car, and manufacturing commodity petrochemicals and plastics for industrial uses and fuel & lubricant additives.
