Chevron Enters Iraqi Energy Sector with West Qurna-2 Consultancy Deal

Chevron has signed a technical consultancy deal for the West Qurna-2 oil field in Iraq. The field was previously operated by Russia's Lukoil.

The deal marks Chevron's entry into the Iraqi energy sector, which has been largely dominated by state-owned companies and international majors such as Lukoil and Shell.
